About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable CDL Class A Driver to join our team. This role involves operating flatbed/step deck trailers and van trailers, with deliveries split approximately 50/50 between the two. Drivers will be assigned trucks with sleepers, and the position offers daily home time and a day shift schedule, making it ideal for those seeking a work-life balance.
Key Details:
• Home Time: Daily (occasional overnight runs may be required)
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, no nights or weekends
• Shift: Day shift, 8-10 hours per day
• Route: Regional deliveries within a 200-mile radius of Sioux Falls, SD
• Weekly Hours: Minimum 40-45 hours, overtime paid after 40 hours
Responsibilities:
• Safely load, secure, and strap down all loads.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of equipment as per DOT regulations.
• Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members to address inquiries accurately and promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tractor, trailers, and loading areas.
• Complete all required paperwork, logs, and records accurately.
• Operate assigned trucks with sleepers responsibly and ensure proper maintenance.
Requirements:
• Valid CDL Class A license
• Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience
• At least 6 months of flatbed experience
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
• Must be 22 years or older
• Ability to pass a required DOT physical and drug screen
