This 4k XVR utilizes AI smart detection for people and vehicles and if your cameras support it will automatically switch to color night vision when people or vehicles are seen at night. Tons of options to set up security per camera like proximity, alarms number of people, sounds, etc. with inputs on the back to go to alarm, sirens or other notification devices. It will auto notify you on the app. If you have it set up to notify you of those things you can also set it up to send you an email. Overall, very user-friendly. For its advanced features, it is quite beginner friendly. I purchased two of these thinking that I would need it to support all of my cameras but due to a bunch of them being POE and then some of them being BNC I was able to connect to all the BNC ports, and then with the use of a very cheap network switch was able to connect all of the other cameras too to the one DVR for a very convenient set up.
